Personally I think that disclaimers
are for wusses, but Lord knows that we don't want to offend
anybody. So here's the deal, if you see or read something on
this site that offends you then LEAVE!!!!!! Every staff member
has his/her own opinions so if one person says "the wrong
thing" then don't fly off the handle and blame everybody.
We DO NOT share one brain or central consciousness, so take your
problem up with the person who pissed you off. So in conclusion
if you're one of those stupid, pathetic, moronic, ignorant,
lemming humanist people who still haven't learned to think for
themselves and really don't deserve to live, then we don't want
you here.
The
"official" Fan Scene FAQ
1.
Why are you just covering the Neo-Geo and TurboGrafx systems?
There are a lot more underdog consoles out there as well.
Why that's a highly intelligent question, too bad you're gonna
get a smart-ass answer. Gee how many Neo and Turbo commercials
did YOU see on American TV? Sega is currently the underdog when
it comes to newer consoles, but the Neo-Geo and TurboGrafx will
always remain underdogs from the 8-bit era to the future. Besides, it's
easier to cover both the Neo and Turbo instead of the Neo,
Turbo, and Pong consoles. Next!
2. Why
did you drop the fanzine idea?
Because online fanzines are free and I wasn't making any money.
Just kidding, it's just easier to run a site. Another factor
could be that I couldn't keep staff members.
3. Where
did Rufus go?
I really don't know. Last I heard he was arrested for trying to
date a girl who wasn't in his family.
4. How
does somebody contribute an article?
Just mail it to me thereverend330mega@yahoo.com
and that's it.
5. Can I
write something that's not a review?
Hell yeah, that's the kind of stuff I like. Game reviews are
nice and all but I like opinions on other things as well. Just
check out SCREAMS
FROM THE ASSYLUM to see what I mean. I'll 'publish' game
reviews, console reviews, opinions on gaming, artwork, etc...
Just try to keep it Turbo and Neo related.
6. Will
Fan Scene ever host a bulletin board or chat room?
No chat rooms, sorry. As for a bulletin board that's hard to
say. At one time my stance on a bulletin board (or
"forum" if you will) was an adamant "NO". It
seemed that the sites that had forums were only getting
visitors because they had forums. Site content was no longer
needed, just put up a forum and instant visitors. That's what I
want to avoid, I'm not hosting this contributed material so you
can skip past it and talk to people. Another thing about forums
is the war-like attitude of the Neo-Geo community. I'm in no
mood to moderate a bulletin board.
7. What
happened to those other sections like "The King of High
Scores" and "Kings of Crush"?
You tell me. If I don't get scores sent to me then the areas are
a waste of space. For now on I'm going to ask people if they
want to see something new here and go from their responses.
8. Who's
the cool chick on the front page?
She's our bouncer. Bars can be rough places you know. 9.
Can I get a date with her?
Son, I doubt you can handle her.
